Threat Level 1 – Disruptive behaviour, including suspicious or verbally threatening behaviour

Disrupting the order on ground or in-flight

Intentionally disobeying orders given by ground staff or the crew

Using threatening body language

Making verbal threats against ground staff or the cabin and flight crew

Verbal sexual harassment

Using offensive language

Disorderly behaviour due to intoxication (due to drugs, alcohol, etc.)

Smoking on board

Threat Level 2 – Physically abusive behaviour

Grabbing, pushing, slapping, kicking, spitting

Physical sexual harassment

Breaking of chairs, tables, computers, displays or other equipment

Throwing of objects

Threat Level 3 – Life-threatening behaviour

Bomb threats

Threatening by displaying or using a weapon (any item can be used as a weapon)

Physical assault with intent to severely injure

Threat Level 4 (in-flight only) – Attempt to break or break into the flight deck

Break into the flight deck
